Help protect the ocean! πŸŒŠ

Did you know that every day around 8 million pieces ofΒ plasticΒ makes their way into ourΒ oceans? That’s terrible, isn’t it?

But you can help! Below are a few things you could do to help our planet. 🌎

You can help by using less plastic every day!

Instead of plastic water bottles and plastic bags, you can use metal water bottles, and paper bags!

Bring your own bags when you go buy groceries instead of using the plastic bags your store provides. πŸ›

Reduce, reuse, and recycle! Reduce your waste, reuse your plastic water bottles, and recycle things that you can recycle! β™»

Tips on how to read a little each day πŸ“š

Some days, we’re so busy we don’t even remember to read some of that book we were planning to read! Well, here are some tips to help you. πŸ“š

  1. Set an alarm! You can easily set a ‘Time to read!’ alarm! Just that tiny little reminder can help you a lot! πŸ””
  2. Create a reading log! Then, you can look back to see which days you read, and keep that streak going! πŸ”₯
  3. You don’t have to read a lot each day. Even five minutes of reading can do you good! πŸ“–
  4. Listen to your favorite tunes while you read! I do this very often. Wouldn’t it be amazing to read your favorite book, while listening to your favorite songs? Double-awesome! πŸ˜†

FUN FACT: Research has shown that reading fiction is more effective at reducing stress than sipping tea, and taking a walk. In fact, stress levels were shown to be reduced by 68 percent after reading. While your brain is engaged in the story, your heart rate slows down and muscles relax. 😌

Audiobook? 🎧

I prefer real books because sometimes when you read on a device, the screen is too bright, and audiobooks are fine too, but I like to actually see the words, not only hear somebody say it.
