Hey, everyone! Welcome or welcome back to The Never-Ending Writes! In today’s post, I’ll be doing a book review on one of my recent readings: The Prince and the Dressmaker!
Now, since I suck at my intros, let’s just hurry up and get into the review now, shall we?
(Blurb from Goodreads)
Prince Sebastian is looking for a bride―or rather, his parents are looking for one for him. Sebastian is too busy hiding his secret life from everyone. At night he puts on daring dresses and takes Paris by storm as the fabulous Lady Crystallia―the hottest fashion icon in the world capital of fashion!
Sebastian’s secret weapon (and best friend) is the brilliant dressmaker Frances―one of only two people who know the truth: sometimes this boy wears dresses. But Frances dreams of greatness, and being someone’s secret weapon means being a secret. Forever. How long can Frances defer her dreams to protect a friend? Jen Wang weaves an exuberantly romantic tale of identity, young love, art, and family. A fairy tale for any age, The Prince and the Dressmaker will steal your heart.
I loved this book so, so much!
The story tells you about how to be you! Prince Sebastian may look like a prince, but who says this young man can’t wear dresses? And even better, his best friend Frances understands. Sometimes, you just have to find the right people. The Prince and the Dressmaker is an amazing story about truly finding yourself. 😄
FIVE OUT OF FIVE, MY FRIENDS! IT’S MARVELOUS, AND IF YOU DON’T READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW, I WILL GET ANGRY. Kidding! But seriously. Read. The. Book.
Have you read this book before? Did you enjoy it? Let’s talk in the comments!
Hey, hey, hey, my beloved blooming readers! Welcome back to The Never-Ending Writes! In today’s post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on paperback vs. digital! And, just for your information, this can be for reading, writing, or anything else! Let’s do this! 😆
~ Paperback PROS~
Less glare on the eyes! 👀
There’s that niiiice papery smell…
You can practice your handwriting! [writing]
Can actually feel and flip pages [reading]
Relatively easier to carry around a book than a huge computer!
~ Paperback CONS ~
Pages are bound to rip at one point 😭
Writing looooong entries can take a while… 🥵 [writing]
Needs more materials than digital work. (pencil, paper, eraser, etc…) [writing]
~ Digital PROS ~
Typing is much faster than handwriting! [writing]
You can read/write anywhere with a device, since you can adjust the light of the screen!
Admit it… most of the time, fonts on a device look better than your own handwriting 😅 [writing]
~ Digital CONS ~
Mah. Eyeballs. 😭
You need to charge your device, while a book is just *POOF* there 😌👍
What did you think of these thoughts? Let’s chat in the comments! Ciao ✌️
